Kindergarten Teacher
I attended Sikeston Senior High School and graduated in 1992. I graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1997 with a degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing and a minor in Management. I worked at a major retail company for approximately 18 years. I then choose to pursue my passion for teaching in recent years. I gained my dual Missouri Teaching Certification through Hannibal La-Grange University. I am certified to teach both Early Childhood and Elementary levels. I have continued my professional development and gained additional graduate hours through Sounthwest Baptist University and completed my Masters Certification in Administration through Hannibal La-Grange in 2020. I continued my professional development by gaining my Education Specialist in Adminsitration degree on December 2021.

I have working here in the Sikeston R-6 School District for 9 years now. I began at the Sikeston Kindergarten and Early Childhood Center in January of 2012. I began as a teacher assistant in the preschool and worked in this position for 4 1/2 years. I currently am beginning my sixth year of teaching in kindergarten and could not be more excited.
I also have worked as a In-Home Daycare Provider. I also have been a Homebound Teacher for students and tutored after school.
I am married to my best friend, Jeremy, of 17 years, back in April of 2004. We have one daughter that who is 13 years of age and is currently in eighth grade and will also attend Sikeston Public Schools.
Although most of my free time is taken up with family adventures, I do enjoy some hobbies such as traveling, photography and crafting. When I am not teaching I love relaxing and hanging out with friends and family. I truely enjoy my down time when I can squeeze it in.
